There is no other place like the Facebook messenger for business. I know there are a lot of different platforms out there. Which you can do lead generation through. However, I just feel like you can develop relationships a lot faster on Facebook Messenger then any other.
But you gotta be careful when it comes to Facebook Messenger. People are on Facebook to be social, it is a great tool to build trust but you can't just go into the sale on Facebook. So, in today's Tipsy Tuesday I am going to go over how to approach someone on Facebook messenger.
#1 Exciting curious sentence- You know how you see the first sentence inside messenger? Well, you want that to be curious so that they want to open it right away. People feel that if they don't open it they would have to respond. Opening sentences like, Hi How are you? People think to themselves “yea, no. I don't feel like small talk today” and move on. However, if they see “I almost didn't message you.” Well, that is a tough message to not check right away.
#2 Why you are messaging- After you have gotten them to open up the message now you better be explaining why you messaged them in the first place. Like, I saw you in Tony Robbins fan page and liked your comment. I recommend giving a compliment it will break the wall of the stranger down faster.
#3 Connection point- Explain to them why you felt the connection what makes you want to know more about this person. Remember, you are qualifying people at this point. Just because you messaged them does not mean they are a good fit. You want to know more.
#4 Ask a question- You always want to leave the message with a question, we are building relationships and if they have no reason to respond 9 out of 10 times you will not get a message back. So ask a simple question like. I saw you have children do you stay at home with them? or I saw you were in Florida do you have family there?
